Undead Walking....

A few iconic Zombie or zombish movies....(according to catt)

Night of the Living Dead

It's a classic. The dynamics of the group and the fear set the standards for zombie movies. The opening scene is still chilling.

Dawn of the Dead

Original and remake.  I love both for different reasons. The original  scared me and I love that, but the remake...Ving just knocked it out!  Malls are forever tainted.

Day of the Dead

When the zombie salutes....epic. And the feel is very depressing and claustrophobic. One thing this film has is the emotional desperation that always works well.

28 Days Later

Not a zombie flick per se but it counts. This was the first realistic account and the city itself is a character.

28 Weeks Later

I love it all, even the unrealistic parts. The ending sequence nailed it but the opening scene is what makes this movie strong. The soundtrack is one I actually downloaded because it made such an impact on me.

Shaun of the Dead

Okay. I do not like comedies. I hate comedy with horror, but this was cheeky and somehow the people say the things I would say to relieve my fears. Well done movie.

World War Z

I am one of the weird people who didn't like the book. I know. I went in to this wanting to hate the movie but while those who liked the book found fault in this, I found fun. I like this a lot for the CGI and over-the-top scenes. And Pitt strangely nailed the main role.

Resident Evil

Not a pure Z movie. That said, I disliked the creature that appears and have to ignore that part in this series of the films but I liked all the actors. Mila is awesome. And I loved Michelle Rodriguez in the first movie; she was a fun character.

Zombieland

I wanted to hate this one as well. Comedy. Woody? Bill Murray? Yuk. And yet, I loved it. Both actors were excellent and the movie is pure entertainment.
Picture

Planet Terror

A favorite. I love the director and Michael Biehn was a treat. Machine gun leg? Silly? Maybe but I was totally entertained and had fun with this movie. Rose M. was perfect and the rest of the cast was superb.

Dead Girl

Odd choice for my top 10. This is a brutal Z movie and there are some tough themes but that's what makes it work. The lead actor evolved and it's just  one of those movies that can be forgotten.

The comments are open and I hope a few will leave comments. What are your favorite zombie movies? Who will die (or live) on TWD. Have you read a JEA Z book? How did you like it?

Return of the Living Dead influenced my passion for zombie movies, while many consider it to be a set back to the genre I say forget the haters and SEND MORE BRAINS!!!

Now as for TWD, this weekend is a toss up I am going to say Daryl gets it, or Michonne
