Creepy, scary or downright terrifying stories from the men and women in uniform. Chilling calls, unexplainable encounters, horrifying experiences that cannot be explained.
These are the tales that men and women in uniform have been sharing for decades from prowler calls that ended with sightings of monsters to firefights in combat with things that just wouldn't drop, to demonic apparitions that appear in the flames of a burning building. Men and women in uniform have encountered the unexplainable since the beginning. These are the stories we are looking for in "Third Watch: Tales from the Graveyard Shift."
Modern Horror stories of paranormal, supernatural or just unexplainable events will be considered for this anthology. A portion of the sales will go to charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project and the Officer Down Memorial Fund.

Visit Shadowy Innsmouth
Come visit shadowy Innsmouth, Massachussets! Take in the historic architecture of our quaint town, especially the original Esoteric Order of Dagon temple! The cool salt air will have a transformative effect on your dry, scaly skin! Go diving at Devil’s Reef and see the wonders sunken there! Innsmouth is calling to you!
In the upcoming anthology Visit Shadowy Innsmouth we are looking to explore the themes of outsiders, tourists even, that have encounters in depths of Lovecraft Country. The stories should be set in locales created by HP Lovecraft or his peers including Arkham and its stately university Miskatonic, Innsmouth, Dunwich, as well as the rural environs about these ageless towns. For our writers in the UK, I am sure there are parallels in your countryside and if not, feel free to create your own. The same goes for US authors as well as the rest of the world. Isolated towns that hold their secrets are the perfect setting.
Now for the twist…
Each story will need to be accompanied by a pitch from a travel agency or tourism board which would lure outsiders into the area, causing them to fall prey to the eldritch horrors behind the stone walls and hidden under the roiling surf. Feel free to reference my pitch at the beginning of this message. I am also including a link to the Wiki page for Lovecraft Country.
Please let me know if you are interested in participating in, what is essentially, Within Stranger Aeons 2. I am inviting all the original participants before opening it to the general public.
Standard Anthology Format- 3K-9K, Times New Roman or Calibri, double spaced. There is no deadline for this book. Consider open until full until further notice. A PDF copy of the book will be provided to all authors chosen for the final book.
Send submissions to revfish@gmail.com Attn: Innsmouth Submission. Include your bio and tourist pitch with the story.

United Stakes of America
United Stakes of America is the counterpoint to the trend of modern vampire stories. Gone are the Eurotrash, the seductive vixen and the sparkly teens.
This collection of horror stories will feature the Hunters that stalk down the creatures of the night and slay them. We aren't necessarily looking for retellings of Van Helsing (unless you truly have a unique take on it), Buffy and Anita. We want your new take on the classic story of normal people fighting back against the walking hunger called Vampire.
Standard Anthology Format- 3K-9K, Times New Roman, double spaced. No set deadline yet. Consider open until full until further notice. A PDF copy of the book will be provided to all authors chosen for the final book.
Send submissions to revfish@gmail.com Attn: US of A Submission. Include your bio with the story.

For We Are Many
Seeking submissions: Horror stories featuring demonic possession and/or exorcism. We aren't looking for retellings of The Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose or Paranormal Activity. We want your new take on the millennia-old story.
Standard Anthology Format- 3K-9K, Times New Roman, double spaced. No set deadline yet. Consider open until full until further notice. A PDF copy of the book will be provided to all authors chosen for the final book.

BOOK OF BONES: Ever overheard a conversation and felt frustrated it had been cut short before hearing its outcome? A long time ago, whilst sitting in a cafeteria, I heard two ladies talking at the table behind me. "It's too late for that now," said one lady to the other. "So...what do we do?" "Nothing we can do...drink up." Then they left. I never saw them again. Has your imagination ever been broad-sided by such a provocative conversation? Did it galvanise you to write a story based on what you heard? What happened to the ladies, what did they do to realise they could not avoid the inevitable? How horrific and out of shape can you make this? Be it eavesdropping at your local Ale House, or an overheard sliver of conversation on a train or bus...take its bones and run like hell with it! J Ellington Ashton Press want your stories for a new horror anthology coming late 2020. THE BOOK OF BONES Word count: 5,000-10,000 Times New Roman 12pt. Double spaced. DEADLINE: 31ST MARCH 2020 J Ellington Ashton Press must stress they do NOT tolerate fiction which includes or glorifies the abuse of children, or animals. ANTHOLOGY TITLE: CULT CLASSIC OVERVIEW: Welcome home, Child. Just how far will you go for your family? What are you willing to do to protect your religion? How deep will you delve into the blackest darkness of human nature to feel accepted by your People? WHAT WE WANT: We are looking for stories based around Cults, religions, families and/or lost colonies. They can be completely fictional or you can add splashes of reality to it, as long as you present us with a new and unique look on a well known cult that leaves us speechless at the twists and turns your family go down. We understand that these people were brutal and unapologetic and so we expect that to show in your story. We just ask that you keep it within context and don’t add gore for the sake of gore. If I feel sick from a story, I want to feel broken too. WHAT WE DON’T WANT: A hollow tale with no real purpose and is no more than an excuse to chop people’s limbs off. THE BORING BUT IMPORTANT STUFF: The anthology will be rated ‘R' Please use, 12.pt Times New Roman Word count: 3k-10k Reprints NOT accepted Simultaneous submissions NOT accepted Multiple submissions NOT accepted Poetry ACCEPTED but must be between 100-1k words Multiple submissions ACCEPTED for POETRY Please send submissions to: jea.anthologysubmission@gmail.com Deadline: April 30th 2020 Payment: 1 contributor copy in ebook form So you have one shot to impress us and show us that you belong in with the CULT CLASSICS of our time.
